A few helpful things.
One page. Several independent countdowns. Your own timings.
Make it yours
Give a timer a name, enter minutes and seconds, then select Add timer. Select Start on its card when you’re ready. A preset simply fills in the time fields; you can change either field before adding. Presets are not cooking recommendations.
Keep things moving
- Pause keeps the remaining time. Resume continues from there.
- +1 min adds exactly a minute to that timer, up to 24 hours remaining. If it already finished, it becomes a ready one-minute timer; press Start to run it.
- Reset stops the timer and returns it to the time you originally set, without the extra minutes.
- Edit the name directly on its card. Remove deletes just that timer.
- Up to 12 timers can run independently. Timers don’t start one another.
About alerts
Finished timers stay highlighted until you reset, extend or remove them. Sound is off by default. Turn it on, then use Test sound to check your device’s volume. Sound is optional and is not guaranteed, even when it is on.
Keep the page open. Browsers may delay updates or silence sound in background tabs, on locked screens, or during sleep. When the page becomes active again, running timers are recalculated from their finish times. Changing your device clock can change the remaining time.
This is not a safety alarm. Use a dedicated alarm when missing an alert would matter. Reloading or closing the page clears all timers. This tool doesn’t assess food safety or whether something is cooked.
Keyboard use
Use Tab to move between fields and buttons. Enter submits the new-timer form; Enter or Space activates a focused button. Each timer has its own controls, and finished states are written out as well as highlighted.
